Inbox.com Introduces Storage Synchronization Feature

April 12, 2006: With growing popularity of Online Storage at Inbox.com, we've decided to develop a brand new feature that will allow you to synchronize your Online Storage with your computer to make your Inbox.com experience even more convenient.

Synchronize your Online Storage and access your data anywhere you go!

Online Storage is a free Inbox.com service that allows you to safely store your images, documents, music, and other files just like on your own computer. Online Storage is easy to use as it works on the same basis as Windows Explorer. Learn more...

With Inbox Toolbar you can synchronize your Online Storage with a selected folder on you computer thanks to feature called Synchronized Folder.

You can also view and access your Online Storage content with a single click thanks to the Virtual Storage! Both new features settings is located within the Email Notifier tab.

Virtual Storage

Virtual Storage is a virtual preview of your Online Storage that gives you an overview of its content and allows you to access your Online Storage with a single click. You can setup shortcuts to access your Virtual Storage in the same way as a common folder on your computer.

Synchronized Folder

Inbox Toolbar gives you the option to select a folder on your computer whose content will be synchronized with you Online Storage. In other words, if you add a file into your synchronized folder on your computer, it will be automatically uploaded to your Online Storage. Whenever you delete a file from your Online Storage, it will be deleted from your synchronized folder. When you rename a file, its copy in the synchronized folder will be renamed too. These rules apply in both directions.
