If you install freeware, software or trial or test versions of software it is likely that you may have installed some additional utilities and software as well. Most commonly, these are toolbars for various Internet browsers. They might be useful, but if you don’t use any or all the toolbars and want to remove them there is a free application you can use called the Toolbar Cleaner©. It provides you with a fast overview of all the toolbars on your computer and easily removes them. Using the instructions below you can learn how to download, install, and work with the Toolbar Cleaner© to remove unwanted toolbars.
Instructions for removing toolbars:
- Open your Internet browser and go to the Toolbar Cleaner© home page.
- Click on the “Download Now Free Full version” button and save the installation file to your hard disk.
- Run the downloaded file.
- At the welcome screen click on the “Next” button. Read the license agreement and click on the “I Agree” button to continue.
- When the installation has finished, set the two checkboxes as you prefer and click on the “Finish” button.
- The application will launch automatically. You will then be able to see all of the installed Internet browsers and toolbars.
- If you want to remove a toolbar, check the checkbox in front of the name of the toolbar and click on the “Remove Selected Toolbar(s)/BHO(s)” option.
- Confirm the deletion of the toolbar and click on the “OK” button.
