Having an accurate clock in the system tray is very useful. Microsoft Windows® 7 offers automatic synchronization via the Internet. You just have to set your location and time zone, and that is usually already done by the administrator during installation of the operating system. This article will show you how to enable scheduled time synchronization from the Microsoft® server. The process is described in the instructions below.
Setting up the automatic update:
- Click on the time and date in your system tray.
- Click on the “Change date and time settings... ” link.
- Switch to the “Internet Time” tab.
- Click on the “Change settings... ” button.
- Make sure that the checkbox “Synchronize with an Internet time server” is checked and the “time.windows.com” server is selected.
- Click on the “OK” button. Your time and date should now update automatically!
