It is very common for a user working on a computer to need to do calculations on the fly. For this purpose, Microsoft Windows® offers a simple tool located in the Accessories of the operating system. Some multimedia keyboards offer a hotkey to activate this function. However, in this article, you will learn how to activate the calculator faster than through browsing your Start menu. This method uses the buttons on any ordinary keyboard. It doesn’t matter how many windows or applications you have open, this method is sure to work every time.
Instructions:
- Hold down the “Win Key” and press the “R” button on your keyboard.
- After the “Run” dialog box opens, type the “calc” command into the “Open” box.
- Press “Enter” and the calculator will open.
