These habits can have a negative impact on efficiency and productivity, or more seriously, they can threaten your safety or health.   1. Ignoring error messages and dialog boxes – For many people, this is the most common bad habit. Users often click on the buttons in the dialog boxes without reading them. This can result in the installation of unwanted add-ons or the enabling of unwanted features. It is important to be careful and read the dialog boxes or error messages before you click “OK,” “Cancel,” “Continue,” or any other button.
  2. System without maintenance – You may install a program or application just to test its functionality. If you don’t like it, you may delete, uninstall, or leave it on your system. Over time, these actions can cause your computer to contain unnecessary and unwanted files. Cleaning software can be used to rid your computer of these files, and it is recommended that you use such a program from time to time.   8. Postponing updates – It is typical for a system to ask you to install an update while you are working or playing a computer game, and in these situations the user typically chooses to postpone the update. However, it is important to remember to install the update as soon as possible as updates are often designed to fix problems and security issues.
  9. Unprotected wireless network – At the very least, your home Wi-Fi network should use password protection or a pre-shared key. It is important to implement this feature when setting up the security of your computer. Taking shortcuts can compromise the integrity of your system and data.
  10. Forgetting the shortcuts - Almost every program and system allows you to speed up your work by using keyboard shortcuts. If you use a program daily, invest some time to learn its keyboard shortcuts.  If you calculate the total time spent using your mouse for every function, you would be surprised at the amount of time that could be saved with the quicker method of using keyboard shortcuts. Oftentimes, users are aware of the shortcuts, but are too lazy to think about them and employ them. This can have a negative impact on productivity.
