Computer Desks

May 16, 2008  |  Difficulty: Easy

The computer desk you choose should not only be stylish but also functional and comfortable.  As the centerpiece of your office, it is important to pick a desk that fits the space of your area and the needs of your job.  Computer desks are available in an incredibly wide variety of sizes and styles that suit any budget.

A standard computer desk often includes a few drawers or cabinets and an area for a computer tower and monitor and can cost as little as $100.  A larger desk with a hutch can cost between $200 and $500.  Finally, an executive desk that may be made of higher quality materials and is more ornate can cost as much as $4,000.

One other option is a computer armoire.  This piece, lake a tall cabinet, takes up less room than a standard desk but still includes drawers or cabinets and space for a computer.  Prices for armoires range from $100 to $600.

Finally, for a small, inexpensive, and portable option you can purchase a computer cart.  These minimal structures cost as little as $50 to $200 and can be moved as space and needs dictate.
